Thanks to consolidated experience, Laser Lab offers services and controls in the field of noise and vibrations both in the workplace and in the external environment.

We have a team of competent technicians in acoustics, graduates in Physics and Engineering, and all the necessary instrumentation both for carrying out measurements in the field and for creating models for forecasting acoustic impacts and acoustic climates.

Laser Lab is able to support the Customer even in the event that the acoustic monitoring or acoustic impact forecasts should show exceeding the legal limits, dealing with the drafting of remediation plans and acoustic remediation.

Furthermore, it is accredited by Accredia, according to the UNI CEI EN ISO / IEC 17025 standard, relating to the execution of noise measurements both in the workplace and in external environments and to the execution of hand-arm and whole body vibration measurements.

Acoustic Impact Assessment

According to the indications of current legislation and based on an accurate analysis of the present situation, LabAnalysis Group is able to carry out a survey program with identification of measuring metrics, the type of measurements to be carried out and their duration.

In particular, the sound level measurements are related to the following types of noise:

  • Environmental noise level (AL) is the 'A' weighted sound pressure level, produced by all noise sources existing in a given location and during a given time. Environmental noise is composed by all residual noise and noise produced by specific disturbing sources, except individually identifiable sound events of an exceptional nature compared to the environmental value of the area. It is the level that is compared with the maximum exposure limits: 1) in the case of differential limits it refers to TM; 2) in the case of absolute limits it refers to TR (D.M. 16/03/1998)
  • Residual Noise Level (RL) is the «A» weighted sound pressure level, which is found when the specific disturbing source is excluded. It must be measured with the same methods used for the measurement of environmental noise and must not contain atypical sound events (D.M. 16/03/1998)
  • Evaluation of the presence of Tonal Components (TC) of environmental noise (D.M. 16/03/1998)
  • Evaluation of the presence of Impulsive Components (IC) of environmental noise (D.M. 16/03/1998)

The technical reports produced by LabAnalysis Group contain the following elements:

  • Class 1 precision integrator sound level meters compliant with I.E.C. n ° 61672-1 with possibility of statistical analysis and spectral analysis in octave band in real time with SIT calibration certificate with two-year expiry
  • Calibrators with SIT calibration certificate
  • Control units for continuous detection of sound levels with SIT calibration certificate with two-year expiry
  • Equipment supplied: thermohygrometers, anemometers

Forecast evaluation of acoustic impact, acoustic climate and drafting of improvement plans and acoustic remediation

Laser Lab has the most up-to-date software for the creation of calculation models for the prediction of sound levels in the external environment made by the traffic noise (automotive and railway), airport and industrial noise such as CADNA A and Soundplan. This software allows you to make noise impact predictions for both new projects and changes in existing conditions.

Laser Lab also provides support for the design of acoustic impact mitigation measures. The noise impact prediction reports include a detailed assessment of the measurements made and maps with the distribution of the isophonic curves

Forecast evaluation of passive acoustic requirements of buildings

Acoustics in buildings have a significant importance for the decrease exposure to noise, the mutual disturbance between real estate units, the protection of privacy and people's rest. For these reasons, buildings must comply with the so-called "passive acoustic requirements". The reference document is the DPCM 5 December 1997.

The forecast analysis aims to assess, mainly through the use of experimental data and with the use of empirical formulas tested by research institutes, if the technical characteristics of the building fall within the limits imposed by the legislation.

Therefore, the design of the acoustic characteristics of the building must be carried out for all these cases:

  • renovation
  • change of intended use
  • new construction

The report takes into consideration and analyzes all the acoustic performances that have relevance for the building being analyzed. Furthermore, the forecast reports on the acoustic requirements of buildings provide clear indications on the properties of the materials and possibly on the installation errors to be avoided in order to obtain the desired result.

Vibration measurements for the evaluation of disorder and structrural damage

LabAnalysis Group has a portable multi-channel system for acoustics and vibrations (SOUNDBOOK) that allows measurements to be made for the evaluation of disorder and structural damage.

Going into detail, LabAnalysis Group owns:

Electromagnetic fields

The team dedicated to electromagnetic fields controls is composed of highly specialized consultants and technicians active throughout the territory equipped with professional and state-of-the-art. Our professionals identify the conditions of the greatest exposure and the critical issues related to each situation.

Our equipment is able to detect:

  • low frequency electric and magnetic fields generated by power lines and electrical substations. As required by current legislation, we can carry out short-term measurements and continuous long-term monitoring thanks to control units equipped with autonomous power systems, resistant to adverse weather conditions, which can be positioned both inside and outside of living spaces;
  • high frequency electric and magnetic fields generated by mobile phone stations, TV and radio broadcasting antennas, Wi-Fi systems, etc. We can carry out measurements up to frequencies of 60 GHz thanks to the use of equipment for punctual analysis and for continuous long-term monitoring thanks to control units equipped with autonomous power systems, remotely controlled, which can be positioned both inside and outside of living spaces;

In this case, LabAnalysis Group owns the new "5G ready" instrumentation that is adequate to effectively evaluate the electromagnetic fields emitted by the antennas of the new telecommunications technology.
